Different Meanings Of Flowers

Flowers are used for many different reasons. Different flowers having different meanings, if you go to your local Birmingham florists they will be able to tell you all about different meanings. For example many people already know red roses are for love. White roses represents the purity of your love. Yellow rose is for friendship. Orange rose as used for the same reason as yellow rose. Pink roses means giving away with love.
There are not only roses with meanings there are other flowers who have meanings too. Flowers such as aster, apple blossom, camellia, daisy, cosmos and hibiscus have all got meanings.
Below is the list of some flowers with different meanings.
Aster means happiness
Apple blossom signifies guarantee
Camellia means graciousness
Daisy means purity or innocence
Cosmos means quiet
Hibiscus means delicate beauty
Gardenia means enjoyment
Striped means denial
Begonia means deep thoughts
Jasmines means elegance and grace
Lilac means first love
Marigold means wanting for riches
Poppy means support
Orchid means delicate beauty
Pink rose means friendship
Red rose means love
White and Red rose means hermony
White rose means clarity
Pink tulip means caring
Purple tulip means devotion
White tulip is used for saying sorry
Ivy means fidelity
Holly means marital joy
There are various other flowers that have meanings and do feel free to add them in the comment box below, I know I have missed out loads. Flowers are seasonal as we all know, it also has monthly meanings, what I mean is carnation is January, daisy is for April, rose is for June and so on. I don’t have much knowledge on this yet but I will surely be doing some research on this for my next post.
If you visit your local flower shop, the florist will be able to tell you why they have different flowers for different ocassions likes white flowers for funeral flowers, coloured flowers for wedding and birthday flowers. Flowers can certainly be an interesting read.
