Finding A Garden Gazebo To Suit Your Garden

See more in Gardening Methods

A garden gazebo is the perfect way to accent your garden.Imagine being able to walk along the path between the koi pond and the flowers, the hedges and the willow tree, pausing to rest on a bench inside a gazebo. Its shade will comfort you, and its architecture will add that special geometric touch to your garden, striking the balance between nature and humanity.Whether your garden is small or large, modern or traditional, there are gazebos to suit all surroundings.

Choose the type of material first of all, common materials are wood, metal and vinyl.Wood is one of the most popular materials, this is mostly because it fits into its surroundings best, popular wood types are: pine, cedar or redwood.Pine is a soft wood that turns to a rich yellow colour over time, it will look best in a garden rich in evergreen trees.Cedar wood is super hard wearing, so will hold up in all climates, it doesn’t rot and will age to a lovely silver colour.Redwood is great because it has a beautiful dark colour to it and will last the longest.Other woods can be used, but those are the most common.

Metal gazebos come in cast aluminum or steel and wrought iron.Wrought iron and steel are the most hard wearing metals, they will stay a dark metallic colour. Many metal gazebos have open roofs so you will need to add in plants to provide shade, this is great for keen gardeners as you can manufacture the shade to change with the seasons.Vinyl usually comes in black or white. As with metal or wood gazebos these come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes. If you want it to feel homely, you can opt for trellis walls.

If you live in a wild environment, enclosed walls can help to protect you from the elements. These can be partially enclosed, with partitions and movable screens, or totally enclosed, with solid walls and tinted windows.

Whether looking to expand a large corporate garden or just to complement a small neighborhood plot, a garden gazebo is an inviting structure for rest, meditation, or meeting up with other people to enjoy the weather.
