LED Holiday Lights that You Can Install

See more in Gardening Methods

The phrase “Holiday Lighting” once referred just to Christmas lights, but now pertains to what has become a year-round trend. The average consumer is now tempted by cyclical displays of Halloween, St. Valentine’s Day, and 4th of July decorations which include strings of seasonally colored lights. While holiday lights are now more popular and light bills are increasing, consumers are discovering that their shiny holiday toys are getting more expensive to play with. One issue could be that quite a few consumers still rely on incandescent C7 lights or mini-lights, which are hardly considered energy-efficient; Juno Lighting is a much better option.

The fix for that problem would be swapping to LED holiday lights. This recently developed kind of holiday lighting is fun to see, safe, and may remarkably lower your electrical rates. The smaller light bill is even more noticeable if the lights are used for extended lengths of time, as is usual with storefront presentations. Light emitting diodes, or LEDs, are miniature light bulbs, lit up by the motion of electrons across a semiconductor material. These bulbs are so energy efficient that several models can require up to 90% less electricity than an incandescent bulb needs to use to make a similar level of light. This probably appears like a economical deal for every customer, but the benefits go well beyond that. Nearly all of you have heard of Energy Star, the government program which identifies building materials and appliances which help consumers to use less money and energy. Not surprisingly, most of the holiday lights marked with the Energy Star label are LED holiday lights. According to government estimates, if each of the decorative light sets marketed in the United States this year were Energy Star certified, we could avoid using over 2 billion kWh annually.

Actually, energy savings is hardly the only reason to buy Sea Gull Lighting LED holiday lights. LED lights do not heat up when turned on, which substantially reduces the chance of fire. Because LED lights employ no moving parts, filaments or glass, they are much more durable than incandescent light strings. LED Lights may be purchased in a wide range of colors and styles, and a few types offer qualities like dimming and color shifting. One company now markets screw-in LED bulbs for changing your incandescent strings to LED holiday lights.

The slightly unfortunate aspect about LED lights is the cost might change substantially by color. Old-style bulbs are colored just by putting paint on the casing of the bulb. The color in an LED light, however, is created by the chemical make-up of every bulb. Pink, Purple and some white bulbs can be more costly than other colors.

If you decorate your house or commercial space for the holidays, perhaps one of those energy-saving LED holiday light arrangements could suit your purposes. They are attractive, safe, and energy efficient. Most importantly, these lights are additionally a cool method to mark the passing of the seasons.
