Should We Pave Before or After Construction?
See more in Garden Furniture
Paving the ground is important in any construction undertaking as it does not only make the adjacent area of the edifice cleaner-looking and thus easier on the eyes; it also makes the ground more easy to maintain.
But, the problem of whether to commence paving before the building; or once its base foundation is already in place, is one the building contractors and owners have to thoroughly talk about.
PAVE BEFORE OR AFTER?
In some locations, the local authorities may require the builders to start paving the ground before construction begins. The reason behind this is to have a path that will be quicker to access should anything untoward may occur during construction; like as fire incidents.
This being the case, the road should be built and paved prior to we can even begin on the construction of the edifice. However, the dilemma here is that damage to the paving could take place when heavy equipments pass on the paved road.
We should then view all options available to shield the paving while construction is underway.
Conversely, if there are no strict rules on paving before construction, then there is no problem here. We can start paving once we have completed at least the heavy construction processes to ensure that the paved road will not be damaged in any way and will still be intact after we have finished the building construction project.
PREPARING TO PAVE
Before we can start paving, we must first check the quality of the soil so we can create the perfect foundation for the paving material. Testing for soft areas in the soil is essential as this will also help us to come up with the right mix of foundation for the various soil qualities within the area.
There are expert pavers that can can work on this and take care of the entire paving process to make sure that the finished paving can withstand pressure such as heavy traffic; passing through of heavy vehicles and the like; and also keeping the moisture out or minimizing the level as much as possible.
