Unusual gardens not only give the neighborhood something to discuss, they also give you a great opportunity to dialog with the world. And normally, people love them. Think about it – don’t you just adore to see a special backyard?
You can often arrive at a pretty good idea of someone’s personality just by considering their gardening ideas. A backyard can demonstrate whether they are a lavish personality with plants and color blooming all over or if they choose instead a more conventional and ordered approach to life.
A very ordinary backyard cannot reveal very much about the person. But a special backyard can show many different aspects of the personality. So be brave, express yourself!
Designing and planting your backyard gives you the chance to choose the colors and plants that make you feel good. You can choose to add shrubs that have scents that you enjoy or that remind you of some place that you once lived in.
Like your clothes, your garden design will change along with the changing seasons. Although the plants adapt by themselves, you have a lot of control. You might design your backyard to brighten up a dull time of year, or to provide shade and cool in a hot summer. Adding colored sculpture and containers can enliven a winter garden and bring contrast to the more colorful seasons.
You will probably alter the look of the backyard as you make changes in your life so that one year is always different than the next or you might choose to keep everything stay the same just as an old tree stands from one year to the next.
A garden can alter your mood for the better causing you to feel good just being out in it. It can make us realize that the most important things in life are the little things that are all around us all of the time. A garden is a mass of life and it will always support anybody who appreciates the beauty of that life.
It is not surprising that so many of us love our gardens. The ever-changing beauty of a garden demonstrates the perfection of creation and inspires joy in our hearts.
